Record group 83-66 consists of records of application for registration of the Michigan Dept. of Licensing and Regulation, Board of Osteopathic Registration and Examination for the years 1904-1937. Public Act no. 162 of 1903 required the Board to keep a record of all osteopaths registered in the state. The records consist of the applications for registration submitted by prospective practitioners. Basic information required on the applications includes: name; date and place of birth; present address; intended location of practice; and education. The 1913 applications also inquired about the previous occupation of the applicants. Some applications include photographs. Includes miscellaneous letters and other information related to specific applications.
